Kuthodaw Pagoda and the Tripitaka Tablets

Today a few friends and I went to the Kuthodaw Pagoda. Containing what is considered the worlds largest book, each of the pictured white structures contains one giant carved stone page of measuring roughly 3.5 feet wide by 5 feet tall. There are over 1,000 of them.

  1. Beautiful pictures Quinn. My favorite though was the one with your warm smile in it! I find it strange that there are no other tourists in the area. Are they around or are you avoiding them when you snap the picture? Take care and know you are loved.

    1. Well, both to a degree. This is probably the most touristy place in the city, but the weather was pretty bad with showers off and on all day, so it was pretty dead. Even on peak days, though, this country just doesn’t get that many foreigners.

      Love you all lots!
